The first trailer for Michael Bay‘s movie about the 2012 attack on the American compound in Benghazi, Libya, has arrived, and it’s as explosive as might be expected.
Adapted from journalist Mitchell Zuckoff‘s book about the attack that left U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens and Foreign Service information management officer Sean Smith dead, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi focuses on the special-forces team sent in to try and rescue the ambassador.
Directed by Bay from a script by Chuck Hogan, the movie stars John Krasinski, Dominic Fumusa, James Badge Dale, Max Martini, David Denman and Pablo Schreiber. It’s scheduled for release on Jan. 15, 2016.
