Kate Winslet and Alan Rickman reunite in the latest trailer for A Little Chaos, Rickman’s first feature as director in more than a decade.
Winslet plays widow Madame Sabine De Barra, a landscape architect recruited to work on King Louis XIV‘s gardens of Versailles. Rickman, who also wrote the film, plays the French monarch.
Amid the whimsical gardens of Versailles blooms a love story between Winslet’s character and master landscaper Andre, played by Matthias Schoenaerts.
In a Toronto review, The Hollywood Reporter‘s film critic David Rooney wrote of the film, “The story is engaging, the pretty locations and costumes are easy on the eyes, and the cast is capable, if rarely required to do much.” The ensemble consists of Stanley Tucci, Helen McCrory and Jennifer Ehle.
The film hits select theaters on March 27, 2015.
