REX USAAaron Sorkin has apologized to Apple CEO Tim Cook for lashing out over the tech leader’s critical remarks about the Sorkin-written, Danny Boyle-directed Steve Jobs.
“You know what, I think that Tim Cook and I probably both went a little too far,” Sorkin told E! News on Saturday. “And I apologize to Tim Cook. I hope when he sees the movie, he enjoys it as much as I enjoy his products.”
In a press junket for Steve Jobs in London, Sorkin expressed that certain people working on the project took pay cuts to get the Universal’s Steve Jobs made. He proceeded to criticize Apple in response to Tim Cook‘s comments on Stephen Colbert‘s Late Show about the recent outpouring of Steve Jobs films, which Cook called “opportunistic”: “I think that a lot of people are trying to be opportunistic, and I hate this; it’s not a great part of our world,” Cook said of the film, according to The Verge.

“Nobody did this movie to get rich,” Sorkin said in response at the premiere. “Secondly, Tim Cook should really see the movie before he decides what it is.”
Sorkin added: “Third, if you’ve got a factory full of children in China assembling phones for 17 cents an hour you’ve got a lot of nerve calling someone else opportunistic.”
Steve Jobs stars Michael Fassbender, Seth Rogen and Kate Winslet whose performances received positive remarks at the Telluride Film Festival. The film will hit U.S. theaters on Oct. 9
