Manhattan DA hopeful Lucy Lang has confirmed a few good men and women for a virtual fundraiser.
“Handling the Truth: A Conversation Between Lucy Lang and Aaron Sorkin” is set for March 4 and in addition to the featured chat, the event will host a live reading of the climactic trial scene in the 1992 feature film A Few Good Men.
Penned by Sorkin and directed by Rob Reiner, the drama is hailed for its dramatic showdown between Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise.
The virtual fundraiser has set Bradley Whitford, S. Epatha Merkerson, Clark Gregg, Teresa Ruiz, Stephen Lang (Lucy’s father) for the reading which is being produced and directed by Don Scardino. The fundraiser is the latest starry affair for Lang, who previously appeared at an event alongside her father, James Cameron, Sigourney Weaver and Jon Landau. She also recently appeared at an event with Marlo Thomas.
More information about the March 4 event can be found here.
What do Aaron Sorkin, @s_epatha, @BradleyWhitford, @teresaru & @IamStephenLang & me have in common? We’re all coming together for an event in support of @LucyLangNYC for #ManhattanDA. I’ll be directing as they do a special reading from A Few Good Men. Please attend! xo Don pic.twitter.com/qMGVN3YsQK
