The music manager's latest find, Carly Rae Jepsen, hits No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Call Me Maybe" as another superstar client, Justin Bieber, debuts his anticipated album.
Undroppable, the new documentary brainchild of filmmaker Jason Pollock, has added two more producers to its team. Alex Soros and John Powers Middleton have joined the crew of the film, which encourages support for education. Adam McKay (Anchorman), Scooter Braun and Sharon Chang are existing producers on the project.
“I’m excited to announce that my two good friends Alex Soros and John Powers Middleton will be joining our team of producers,” said Braun, who signed on as producer of Undroppable in April 2012. “We hope that this partnership speaks loud and clear that a strong educational system is fundamental to the health and growth of the country.”

Soros serves on the board of the Open Society Foundations, an organization started by his father to build “vibrant and tolerant democracies.” In 2012, he established his own organization, the Alexander Soros Foundation, to promote social justice and human rights.
Middleton is a partner at Vertigo Entertainment and most recently served as executive producer on A&E’s Bates Motel. He also has multiple projects in development, including Run All Night, The Stand (an adaptation of the Stephen King novel) and Old Boy, a film directed by Spike Lee and starring Samuel L. Jackson.
“I am thrilled to be a part of a project that provides meaningful help for many schools and children in need,” Middleton said. “Education is the foundation upon which our nation’s future is built, and we believe that Undroppable will be a catalyst for change around the educational dialogue in America.”

Billed as “the first social media documentary ever made,” Undroppable highlights how vital education is in today’s world.
“This project has been a six-year journey for me, and I’m so blown away by the support we have gotten,” said Pollock. “I truly believe education is the civil rights issue of our time, and I’m happy to see more and more people starting to agree.”
Pollock produced The Youngest Candidate, a documentary about teens running for public office. Braun, who manages such pop artists as Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen, produced the documentary Never Say Never in 2011, which highlighted Bieber’s world concert tour.

McKay has worked on such films as Anchorman and Step Brothers and is in production on Anchorman 2. He also co-founded the website Funny or Die with Will Ferrell. Chang, the final member of the production team, was chief creative officer of 19 Entertainment (American Idol) and now heads Yoxi, a media strategy organization.
The production team plans to finalize Undroppable in the coming months, aiming for a theatrical release to coincide with the beginning of the new school year.
