Dave J. Hogan/Getty ImagesLONDON – Actor-turned-writer-director Paddy Considine is returning to front of camera duties with a starring role in Honour, the big screen debut from Shan Khan.
Considine most recently directed his debut Tyrannosaur, garnering positive notices and has a resume boasting eye-catching turns in a slew of movies including Submarine, My Summer of Love, Dead Man’s Shoes and The Bourne Ultimatum.
His return to being in front of the camera is due to kick off later this month with the movie shooting on location in the Isle of Man and in Glasgow, Scotland.

Khan, who also penned the script, will direct the movie that is backed by CinemaNX, the film financing and production company bankrolled by the Isle of Man Government.
The project, which appeared on last year’s Brit List, a roster of the top ten unproduced movie projects here, will also be bankrolled by Leonid Lebedev and Julia Lebedev of Code Red Productions.
The project is billed as a contemporary thriller and is produced by Newscope Films and Parti Productions.
The film is being produced by Nisha Parti and Jason Newmark and exec produced by Steve Christian and Marc Samuelson of CinemaNX and Leonid Lebedev and Julia Lebedev of Code Red Productions.
The script has been developed with coin from the now closed U.K. Film Council.
The film is being quietly touted to buyers during this year’s American Film Market by the producers.
CinemaNX has a slew of movies on its past production resume including Me and Orson Welles at the end of 2009, The Disappearance of Alice Creed in spring 2010 and Oscar-winning Fernando Trueba and celebrated artist Javier Mariscal’s animation Chico & Rita in November 2010.
