With Spectre lighting up international box offices, former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko is growing her post-007 roster.
The actress is set to star in the intense sci-fi thriller Android, to be directed by Niall Johnson (Keeping Mum), who co-wrote the script with Matt O’Reilly. Kurylenko will play a dead wife who is brought back to life as an android by her husband living on a lonely spaceship orbiting Neptune. However, things take a turn when the androids begin demanding lives of their own.
Announced Thursday on day two of AFM, the project is being produced by Trademark Films’ Ivan Mactaggart (My Week With Marilyn), Infinite Studios Singapore’s Mike Wiluan and Lindsey Martin (Equals; Hitman: Agent 47) and Magnet Management’s Jennie Frankel Frisbie.
The feature will begin shooting in February at Infinite Studios Singapore in February.
Fortitude International is handling foreign rights and launching sales at AFM. Producers currently hold North American rights.
Kurylenko, who recently finished shooting on La Corrispondenza with Jeremy Irons, is repped by Tavistock Wood Management and CAA. Johnson is repped by Independent Talent Group and Magnet Management.
