Andie MacDowell and Hamish Linklater have been tapped to star in the romancer Paper Year, being introduced to buyers at AFM by Myriad Pictures.
The Canadian indie from writer-director Rebecca Addelman and First Generation Films, now shooting in Los Angeles and Toronto, also stars Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson (The Knick) and Avan Jogia (Tut).
Paper Year portrays two newly married young people, Franny and Dan, who face obstacles that reveal cracks in their relationship.
Addelman currently writes on Judd Apatow’s Netflix series Love and is penning the TV remake of feature film The First Wives Club.
Paper Year is produced by Christina Piovesan and Jennifer Shin, with Kirk D’Amico, Emily Alden, Penny Mancuso and Anne Hong sharing the executive producer credits.
MacDowell’s movie credits include Magic Mike XXL, the 2011 Footloose revival, Groundhog Day and Four Weddings and a Funeral. She is repped by Gersh, RMS Productions and Greenberg Glusker.
