Hello, blood-thirsty cheerleaders!
The Hollywood Reporter here hosts an exclusive first look at the sales poster for All Cheerleaders Die, the horror thriller from directors Lucky McKee and Chris Sivertson.
The film, which was the opening night film in the Midnight Madness section at the Toronto Film Festival, follows Maddy (Caitlin Stasey), a high-school outsider who infiltrates the cheerleading squad after one of her close friends dies. She’s set on revenge, but ends up on a supernatural roller coaster ride that leaves a path of destruction that may end them all. Sianoa Smit-McPhee, Brooke Butler and Tom Williamson also star.
The film was picked up for domestic distribution by Image Entertainment in September, and is scheduled for a theatrical release next spring. Celluloid Nightmares is selling rights at the upcoming American Film Market, which runs Nov. 6-13 in Santa Monica.
Andrew van den Houten and Robert Tonino produced for Modernciné, with Arrien Schiltkamp executive producing.
THR’s review said of the film: “Half affectionate parody and half gory bloodbath, the story takes place in a knowingly familiar screen universe of high-school cliques, uber-bitchy prom queens and arrogant football jocks. There are passing nods to Carrie and Heathers here, but the overall sunny tone is more Buffy The Vampire Slayer.”
Take a look at the poster below.
