The American Film Market is launching the AFM Producers Forum at this year’s event, which runs Nov. 6 – 13 in Santa Monica, Calif.
The new program will bring together experienced producers from around the world for networking and discussion. There will be 16 educational sessions with experts speaking on a variety of topics including co-productions in China and India, working with sales agents and production incentives.
“The new AFM Producers Forum will provide experienced producers with knowledge on a wide range of topics that are most important to working professionals along with exclusive social activities,” said AFM managing director Jonathan Wolf. “We are looking forward to hosting the global film industry’s best and brightest with this new program.”
The schedule for AFM’s conference series has also been announced, covering a range of topics including finance, pitch, production, marketing and distribution.
The conference series runs from Friday, Nov. 8, through Tuesday, Nov. 12. View the schedule here.
Additionally, JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and UniJapan will create a 2,000 square foot Japan Pavilion at the event.
This year’s AFM will see the return of Unifrance after a three year absence, and new exhibitors include Panorama Media and Relativity.
The American Film Market runs Nov. 6 – 13 in Santa Monica.
