Luke Evans is keeping his busy slate impressively eclectic.
Having recently appeared in The Girl on the Train and soon to be seen in Beauty and the Beast, he’s now lined up something a little more energetic from British multi-hyphenate Noel Clarke.
A “cat and mouse thriller” set in the U.S., 10×10 will see Evans play a seemingly ordinary guy hiding an obsession for revenge against one particular woman. After kidnapping her in broad daylight, he locks her in a soundproof cell where he hopes to extract a dark secret from her past.
Kelly Reilly (True Detective, Calvary, Flight) will co-star with Evans in the project, which is being offered to buyers at AFM by Altitude Film Sales.
Suzi Ewing will direct in her feature-length debut, from a script by Clarke, the prolific British filmmaker behind the London crime trilogy that recently concluded with Brotherhood. Clarke produces with his partner at Unstoppable Entertainment Jason Maza, together with Maggie Monteith and Gina Powell.
“We are delighted to be working with the Altitude Film Sales team in bringing this movie to the international market,” said Maza. “We’ve assembled an exciting array of talent in front and behind the camera and cannot wait to begin shooting.”
Altitude MD Mike Runagall added: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Noel, Jason, Maggie and Suzi on this smart and gripping thriller that constantly surprises and will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.”
Evans is represented by United Agents and WME while Reilly is repped by ICM Partners and Troika.
