Alex Pettyfer is starring with young Cop Car star James Freedson-Jackson in indie film The Strange Ones.
The duo will play brothers who are making their way across a remote American landscape. But mysterious events surround their journey, and what appears to be a simple vacation soon gives way to a more complex and darker truth.
The project, which has wrapped production in upstate New York, is based on directing team Lauren Wolkstein and Christopher Radcliff’s award-winning short of the same title, which premiered at Sundance in 2011. The pair wrote and helmed the feature film.
Strange Ones is an Adastra Films and Relic Pictures production, presented by Stay Gold Features and in association with Archer Gray, Gamechanger Films and Storyboard Entertainment. It’s produced by Sebastien Aubert, Michael Prall, Eric Schultz, Shani Geva and Daniela Taplin Lundberg, and executive produced by Anne Carey, Mynette Louie, Paul Finkel, Jason Potash and Paule Bohé.
Pettyfer‘s recent credits include Elvis & Nixon with Michael Shannon and Kevin Spacey, Endless Love and Magic Mike. He is repped by ICM Partners, Independent Talent Group and Hansen Jacobsen Teller.
Freedson-Jackson starred in Jon Watts’ Cop Car with Kevin Bacon and also appeared on Netflix series Jessica Jones. He is repped by Abrams Artists Agency and Parkside Talent.
Wolkstein and Radcliff are repped by WME. WME Global is representing the domestic sale of the film.
