Ex Machina star Alicia Vikander (who’s also had roles in A Royal Affair and Anna Karenina) is (unofficially) the new face of Louis Vuitton, the star admitted shyly to The Hollywood Reporter at the Louis Vuitton 2016 cruise show in Palm Springs on Wednesday. “It hasn’t officially been announced yet, but yes,” she confessed when asked about her role as the French fashion house’s new face. Vikander is definitely the “It” girl of the moment, starring in several upcoming films (Justin Chadwick‘s Tulip Fever and Guy Ritchie‘s The Man From U.N.C.L.E.), covering major fashion magazines (W‘s April 2015 issue), and having recent vacation photos with her The Light Between Oceans co-star Michael Fassbender posted all over the web. Vuitton has a gift of hiring interesting faces (Jennifer Connelly, Michelle Williams, Charlotte Gainsbourg) — and Vikander is definitely no exception. Now there’s no doubt we’ll see her soon on the red carpet in LV-designed eveningwear, perhaps one of the amazing leather gowns in the cruise show.
