This is probably a good time for the crew of the Covenant to head home.
A new trailer for Alien: Covenant shows things go very wrong for a group of hopeful interstellar colonists who want to leave Earth to better humanity. One of the more disturbing revelations (aside from the xenomorphs) is that there is wheat … but no one around to have planted the human crop. And there also seems to be no animal life whatsoever on the planet. That’s pretty suspicious.
The cast of Ridley Scott’s Covenant includes Katherine Waterson, Billy Crudup, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride and Michael Fassbender. This is just the latest look at the project, with a lengthy prologue released last week examining the crew’s last supper (with plenty of callback’s to Scott’s original 1979 Alien).
Covenant follows the 2012 Alien prequel Prometheus and hits theaters on May 19.
