Schumer: “I’ve had fittings for the last 10 years. They’ve always been kind of traumatic. If you’re above a size 12, they’re kind of like, ‘Oh, why don’t you just, like, go into a field and graze with the cows?’ Leesa’s attitude when I walked in was, ‘That’s great!’ or ‘We can do better!’ It’s completely changed how I feel about clothes, and now we’re going to be together for life. I’m going to be buried with her. … You agreed to that, right?”
Evans: “I completely agreed to that.”
DAVID NEEDLEMANAmy Schumer and her stylist Leesa Evans — who landed at No. 25 on THR‘s 25 Most Powerful Stylists list — have taken their relationship beyond the dressing room.
The pair formed a tight bond after Evans outfitted Schumer for awards season — where she picked up an Emmy for her Comedy Central show, Inside Amy Schumer — as well as during her Trainwreck press tour, which saw the comedienne don sleek and sexy ensembles with the occasional appearance of side boob.
“Leesa’s attitude when I walked in and the clothes she had, it just completely changed the way I felt about clothes and everything,” Schumer explained during the duo’s cover shoot.
“Now we’re going to be together for life,” she added. “I’d like to be buried with her.”
