Andy La Marca, a veteran production manager and producer who worked on such films as The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1, Piranha 3D and Grindhouse, died Dec. 30 in Los Angeles of a heart attack. He was 57.
La Marca’s resume also includes various jobs on the films Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995), The Odd Couple II (1998), The Out-of-Towners (1999), The Scorpion King (2002), Envy (2004) and Superman Returns (2006).

La Marca kick-started his 30-year-plus career as a student at the American Film Institute, then served Roger Corman as a camera operator on Grand Theft Auto (1977).
Shortly thereafter, he joined the staff of Ken Kragen & Associates as the company’s in-house co-producer on projects ranging from Kenny Rogers telefilms The Gambler (1980) and Coward of the County (1981) to HBO and Showtime live concert specials featuring Rogers, Kim Carnes and the comic Gallagher.
In 1988, La Marca produced his first feature film, Lady in White, starring Lukas Haas, Katherine Helmond, Alex Rocco and Len Cariou.
La Marca is survived by his wife Marsha; daughters Sophia and Jolie; mother Maryse; brothers Joe, Greg and Tom; and sisters Linda and Lisette.
