Angelina Jolie will miss out on several days of promoting Unbroken, her latest film as director, because of a bout with a mild case of chicken pox.
The film tells the true story of Olympic runner Louie Zamperini, who was held in Japanese internment camps during World War II.

“You have to laugh at the timing,” Jolie said. “I was sure nothing could stop me from supporting Unbroken. I am heartbroken to miss our premiere, most of all the chance to be there with Louie’s family.”
Unbroken studio Universal wished Jolie a “speedy recovery.”
“She is in very good spirits, considering after two years of hard work, she will not be there the night it finally premieres,” the studio said in a statement.
Unbroken has its Los Angeles premiere Dec. 15. The film opens Christmas Day.
