The Anheuser Busch Eye on Black: A Salute to Directors dinner will honor Robert Townsend, Tim Story, Keenan Ivory Wayans and Melvin Van Peebles.
Scheduled for Feb. 25 at the California African American Museum, the dinner is billing itelf as “the largest salute to African American directors in Hollywood¹s history.”
Van Peebles will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the event. And an emerging minority director in film, music and theater will also be chosen to receive the Emerging Face Award.
A portion of all proceeds and private silent auction contributions will be donated to the Melvin Van Peebles Foundation.
