A new trailer for Animal Crackers reveals a unique universe filled with wacky circus performers, magical snacks and a long-lost family legacy.
Directed by Scott Christian Sava and Tony Bancroft, the animated pic follows the Huntington family as their lives are turned upside down by a late distant relative who leaves behind an old traveling circus. With the help of magical animal crackers that turn the consumer into whatever animal they have eaten, Owen (John Krasinski) and Zoe (Emily Blunt) Huntington attempt to bring the circus back to life.
The film’s voice cast also includes Ian McKellen, Danny DeVito, Sylvester Stallone, Patrick Warburton, Raven-Symoné and Gilbert Gottfried, among others.
Animal Crackers, from Blue Dream Studios, premiered last month in competition at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The movie is set to hit theaters Sept. 1.
