As Anne Hathaway continues her press tour for promotion of One Day, she revealed her mischievous side with a stop on the Today Show on Thursday.
Today’s Matt Lauer asks her point-blank if she really mooned her co-star, Jim Sturgess, while on set.
“While you were shooting this movie on a street in Scotland where women and children could see you?” asked Lauer.
“It was a locked off set,” said Hathaway. “The problem was the street was locked off, but we were in front of an apartment building.”
“It was a little naïve,” admitted Hathaway. Lauer then points out that there were people with cameras, and asks if Hathaway has Googled herself lately.
“No, I’m terrified by what I might find,” she says.
Hathaway says that she has been mooned plenty of times on set, but had never returned the favor until this project.

“This is the first time I decided to be a little naughty and go for it and it blew right up in my face,” she said.
Hathaway stars in the Focus Features film, which comes out on Friday. Adapted by David Nicholls from his 2009 novel, the film, directed by Lone Scherfig, follows two friends through their life-long relationship, by showing them on one day – July 15 – every year.
Hathaway will star as Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, in Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises, which will come out next year.
