Director Antoine Fuqua is in negotiations to helm Infinite, a time-spanning action thriller for Paramount.
Transformers franchise maestro Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing with Mark Vahradian. John Zaozirny at Bellevue Productions is also producing. Rafi Crohn will executive produce.
Written by Ian Shorr, the script tells of a group of near-immortal men and women who are reincarnated over the centuries and known as “the Infinite.” In order to defeat an evil mastermind who has designs to destroy the planet, the group has to reluctantly rely on one man, a schizophrenic who will have to learn that all his vivid dreams are actually memories from past lives, in order to defeat the villain.
Fuqua made a splash when he helmed 2001’s Training Day, the Denzel Washington-Ethan Hawke cop movie, and has since become known for his grounded action-thrillers. Over the last several years, he has directed Olympus Has Fallen, the all-star remake of The Magnificent Seven and the recent Equalizer movies.
Fuqua is repped by CAA and Ziffren Brittenham.
