Aquaman director James Wan on Sunday asked fans of his movie to stop bullying those who didn’t love his comic book-based film.
“It has come to my attention that some folks are getting harassed by some fans for not liking AQM,” he tweeted Sunday afternoon. “Please don’t do that. Not the kind of support I want. Be respectful. Vice versa, it’s ok to not like my film, but there’s no need to attack me personally, or tag me on hates. Peace,” he ended, with the “peace fingers” emoji.

The movie has made a big splash at the box office, falling only 24 percent its second weekend to $51.6 million for a domestic total of $188.8 million. So far, it has earned $748.8 million globally.
On social media, those who both loved and disliked the movie were very vocal about their opinions, sparking some heated debates among both camps about everything from the dialogue to the action to the visual effects.
The Warner Bros./DC movie stars Jason Momoa in the title role, with Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson and Dolph Lundgren co-starring.
