BERLIN — NFP in Germany and Artificial Eye in the U.K. have snatched Charlotte Rampling-starrer I, Anna ahead of its world premiere Sunday at the Berlin International Film Festival.
German sales outfit Global Screen closed multiple deals on the psychological film noir, directed by Rampling’s son, Barnaby Southcombe, with sales to Cinemien for the Netherlands, ABC for Belgium, TriArt for Sweden and Challan for South Korea among them.
The thriller is Southcombe’s directorial debut. The plot puts Rampling in the role of a femme fatale who falls for the detective in change of a murder case (Gabriel Byrne).
Global Screen is the new sales shingle created by the merger of German sales giants Bavaria and Telepool. Former Echo Bridge executive Sonia Mehandjiyska is the company’s managing director.
