TORONTO — Banking on the box office success of The Talented Mr. Ripley, Phase 4 Films has picked up another Patricia Highsmith adaptation, The Two Faces of January, for the Canadian market.
The deal with StudioCanal has the Canadian distributor acquiring screenwriter Hossein Amini‘s directorial bow, which debuted in Berlin.
Phase 4 Films plans a fall 2014 release for the psychological thriller that stars Viggo Mortensen, Oscar Isaac and Kirsten Dunst and was produced by Working Title Films and Timnick Films for StudioCanal.
Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Robyn Slovo and Tom Sternberg share the producer credits.
The distribution deal was brokered by Katharyn Howe on behalf of Phase 4 Films and Vanessa Saal for StudioCanal.
