As opening weekend for the much-anticipated Black Panther movie approaches, folks are looking for any way to get a chance to see the film before it’s out everywhere. T.I. is helping to make that happen for 300 lucky fans, as the rapper announced via Twitter that he would team up with Walmart to give out tickets to families in Atlanta to watch Black Panther.
“Me and @Walmart joined efforts to support the community with free tickets for customers to attend an Advance Screening of @MarvelStudios @theblackpanther. We gave away 300 tickets to deserving families yesterday at the Cascade Walmart store. #BlackPanther,” T.I. tweeted Tuesday.

Now, thanks to the viral #BlackPantherChallenge on social media, fundraisers across the country have given people a chance to see the movie early.
Actress Octavia Spencer announced on Instagram on Jan. 31 that she would buy out a theater in Mississippi “to insure that all our brown children can see themselves as a superhero.” Ellen DeGeneres did the same, covering the cost for the kids of the Boys and Girls Club in Harlem, N.Y., to go see the Marvel flick.
Black Panther hits theaters Feb. 16, and its star-studded, Kendrick Lamar-curated soundtrack is available now.
