Boyhood added to its growing list of awards-season accolades, picking up a trio of top gongs at the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards.
The annual event, held in the U.K. capital’s May Fair Hotel, saw the drama win film of the year, director of the year for Richard Linklater and best supporting actress for Patricia Arquette. Last year, the awards correctly matched the Oscars in all three categories.

Elsewhere, there were no major surprises, with Michael Keaton winning actor of the year for Birdman, Julianne Moore actress of the year for Still Alice and J.K. Simmons supporting actor of the year for Whiplash.

Perhaps making up for snubs at both the BAFTAs and Academy Awards, Timothy Spall was in attendance to pip both Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Redmayne for the British actor of the year award, with Rosamund Pike taking British actress of the year.
