The Twilight stars didn’t break down after filming the last scenes of Breaking Dawn.
“It was surprising, actually, how little we had to say when we finished, to be honest,” newly-engaged Nikki Reed tells MTV News. “We know we’re going to see each other, so it wasn’t super dramatic.”
Adds Peter Facinelli, who plays the vampire dad, Dr. Carlisle Cullen, in the franchise, “We have two more movies coming out, so it wasn’t so much of a goodbye as it was a ‘see ya later.'”
Breaking Dawn‘s trailer premiered at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday. Eclipse was also given the Golden Popcorn award for Best Movie.
Kellan Lutz joked that nobody gave a speech after the film wrapped, deadpanning, “I worked the very last day, and I hate you mother—-ers. That’s my speech.”
With Breaking Dawn Part I due in theaters this November, and Part 2 in November 2012, what are their plans in the meantime?
“Broadway musical, let’s do it,” Facinelli said with a laugh. “Carlisle on Ice. I can’t wait.”
“I’ll buy a ticket,” Lutz quipped.
In April, Robert Pattinson admitted the end of Breaking Dawn “was a bit of an anticlimax.”
“It was a very long shoot, and we were working on it for eight months, and it was hard. By the end of it, I think everyone was just like, ‘Ahhh, get me out!’ ” VIDEO: Pattinson, Witherspoon Hit ‘Water for Elephants’ Premiere in New York
But he admits it’s hard for him to imagine life without Twilight.
“I don’t know who I am anymore,” he joked. “I still haven’t really understood what it is not to be doing Twilight movies every three months.”
