Rush Hour director Brett Ratner wants you to be his P.A.
Ratner’s Rat Entertainment production banner and Talenthouse are sponsoring a short film contest that will award the winner a job as a production assistant on an upcoming production. The winner will also receive a couple of nights’ accommodation and “invaluable advice” from Ratner, who will work with the P.A. for two days.
According to the contest website, Ratner “is looking for a short film that possesses creativity, originality and one that can captivate an audience.”
Deadline for submissions is July 25. The winner will be announced on Aug. 24.
The highest voted submission will each receive a signed copy of a Rat Entertainment DVD.
Ratner is currently helming Universal and Imagine’s Tower Heist, an action comedy starring Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy and Tea Leoni. He’s also a producer on the Jennifer Aniston/Jason Bateman comedy Horrible Bosses and Tarsem Singh’s The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, starring Julie Roberts, Armie Hammer and Lily Collins in the title role.
