MADRID — Buena Vista International has signed on to the live-action feature film of popular Spanish comic Zip & Zap, to be directed by Oskar Santos, taking Spanish distribution rights, the company announced Monday.
Zip & Zap and the Marble Gang joins the efforts of Zeta Cinema (I Want You), Mod Producciones (Biutiful, Agora), Antena 3 Films and Kowalski Films (Yo, también) and is set to start shooting in early July, based on ascript by Jorge Lara and Francis Roncal.
Zip & Zap, two mischievous twins are admitted to a school where games are prohibited. They will found the child resistence movement, the Marble Gang, and challenge the authority of adults.
