Tim Roth‘s starrer The Liability is proving to be a long way from its title for buyers as sales take off while the title takes it market bow at the Marche du Film.
Roth stars alongside rising British star Jack O’Connell (Harry Brown) in the movie directed by Craig Viveiros (Ghosted) from a screenplay by John Wrathall.
British sales and finance banner AV Pictures has inked a slew of memos for the veteran assassin road-trip thriller with Koch Media the latest, taking German-speaking rights to the project.
Prior pre-sales include the film going to Australia/NZ (Vendetta Pictures), Brazil (PlayArte) and CIS/Baltic States (New Entertainment Partners).

The road-trip thriller is in the final stages of post-production and details the story of veteran assassin dreaming of retirement who is paired with an eager young driver on a mission to carry out a long-distance ‘hit’ job.
Roth (Pulp Fiction) plays the seasoned hit man while O’Connell turns out as his eager apprentice.
Talulah Riley (St Trinians, Pride & Prejudice) and Peter Mullan (War Horse) are feature in the cast.
The move is produced by Richard Johns (Truth Or Dare, Shadow of the Vampire, Killing Time) and Rupert Jermyn (Truth Or Dare).
Roth is head of the Un Certain Regard jury and he is also starring in Broken, directed by theater director Rufus Norris who makes his film debut with the thriller in Critics’ Week during the Festival de Cannes.
