Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Max Irons (The Host) and Douglas Booth (Great Expectations) have signed to star in Lone Sherfig‘s Posh, the film based on the British West End hit play by Laura Wade.
The story is set amongst the privileged elite of Oxford University and follows two first year students determined to join the infamous Riot Club where reputations can be made or destroyed over the course of a single evening.

Universal Pictures International (UPI) has snapped up U.K. and Irish distribution rights to the hot market property in a deal negotiated by Thorsten Schumacher, managing director of HanWay Films and Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin of Blueprint Pictures.
Wade adapted her own play for the big screen and Broadbent and Czernin produce.
HanWay Films is handling international sales.
The project is co-developed by BFI Film Fund and U.K. broadcaster Channel Four’s standalone film unit Film4, who are also backing the production.
Danish director Scherfig’s resume boasts the Oscar-nominated An Education starring Carey Mulligan.
Mulligan is omnipresent in Cannes lending her support for Sofia Coppola‘s Un Certain Regard opener The Bling Ring and then the Coen Bros’ Inside Llewyn Davis competition title.
