Chaz Ebert will join documentary filmmaker Steve James to discuss the director’s new film Life Itself, a portrait of the late Roger Ebert, at the American Pavilion on May 21.
Their appearance is billed as In Conversation and is part of the series of panels, Q&As and emerging filmmaker showcase events that the Pavilion will hold during the course of the Cannes Film Festival.

The In Conversation lineup also includes discussions with producer John Kilik (Foxcatcher), actor Josh Charles (Bird People) and director Damien Chazelle (Whiplash). Panels will include “The Making of a DreamWorks Animation Film,” “The State of the Indie Film Industry,” “Industry in Focus: Film Finances” and “American Producers in Cannes.”
