The Lone Survivor and Speed Racer star, recently seen in The Autopsy of Jane Doe, will play Patrick Tate, a local undertaker who faces a profound moral dilemma when a ruthless gang of outlaws terrorize his sleepy frontier town. He plays a dangerous game providing for his family as he profits in the wake of the violence sweeping the once-peaceful God-fearing community. As the death toll rises and without religion or the law to turn to, will Patrick find a way to defeat the outlaws as they turn their brutal attention on his pregnant wife and children?
Irish filmmaker Ivan Kavanagh (The Canal) directs from a script he co-wrote with regular collaborator Colin Downey.
Dominic Wright, Jacqueline Kerrin and Marie-Claire Kerrin produce for Dublin-based Ripple World Pictures, alongside Iris Films, who were behind The Colony and Sunset Song. Metro International will be introducing Never Grow Old to buyers at the upcoming market in Cannes.
Hirsch was recently cast in the all-star An Evening With Beverly Luff Lin alongside Aubrey Plaza, Jemaine Clement and Craig Robinson. He is repped by UTA.
More castings are due to be announced in the coming days.
