TORONTO – Entertainment One is pacting with Colin Firth and Ged Doherty’s Raindog Films to produce and distribute Eye in the Sky, with Firth attached to star and Gavin Hood set to direct.
Firth and Doherty will produce the film alongside eOne’s Xavier Marchand, with the Canadian company’s international sales division handling sales of the film in the U.S.
eOne will also handle sales outside of the U.K., Canada, Benelux, Spain, and Australia/New Zealand, where the company will directly release Eye in the Sky.
The thriller is set in the shadowy world of remotely piloted drone warfare, and is written by Guy Hibbert.
Production is set to start in South Africa in August 2014.
