Japanese distributor Longride has picked up foodie documentary Noma My Perfect Storm from sales agent TrustNordisk on the eve of the Cannes market. The feature doc, from director Pierre Deschamps, is a portrait of Danish chef Rene Redzepi, who runs the two Michelin star restaurant Noma in Copenhagen. The Noma has been named the world’s best restaurant four times, including in 2014.
Deschamps followed Redzepi for three years to create the film, which is set for a 2016 release. TrustNordisk will be screening a promo of Noma My Perfect Storm to other buyers in Cannes.
