Almost exactly one year ago, the big news that Pierce Brosnan’s longtime passion project was moving forward was announced on the eve of the Cannes film market.
Now, a year later, November Man is filling out its cast with three more actors before the project begins shooting on May 20. Oblivion star Olga Kurylenko, G.I. Joe: Retaliation’s Luke Bracey and Iron Man actor Bill Smitrovich have all been cast, producers Beau St. Clair of Irish Dreamtime and Sriram Das of Das Films announced Friday.

The film, being helmed by Roger Donaldson from a script by Michael Finch and Karl Gajdusek, will shoot in Europe. It stars Brosnan as an ex-CIA operative hunting for a woman (Kurylenko) who has the key to an international conspiracy.
PalmStar’s Kevin Frakes and Envision’s Grant Cramer arranged financing for November Man. The Solution is handling international rights while CAA reps U.S. distribution rights.
Bronson has called the project — which is based on Bill Granger’s novel There are No Spies, part of a series of bestselling espionage novels — a “labor of love.”
Donaldson is not only reuniting with Brosnan, whom he worked with on Dante’s Peak, but also with Smitrovich, who was in Thirteen Days.

Merced Media Partners, Envision Entertainment Corporation and PalmStar Media Capital are financing November Man. Executive producers include Merced’s Raj Singh and Stuart Brown, PalmStar’s Kevin Frakes, Envision’s Grant Cramer, Remington Chase and Stepan Martirosyan, and Myles Nestel and Lisa Wilson of The Solution.
Newcomer Bracey, repped by CAA and managed by Will Ward at ROAR, will play a former pupil of Brosnan’s character, who turns on him. Dominic Cooper had originally been set to play the role.
Kurylenko starred in two high-profile projects that were released in the U.S. in April. She was seen opposite Tom Cruise in sci-fi pic Oblivion, and opposite Ben Affleck in Terrence Malick‘s latest, To the Wonder. Repped by CAA and Tavistock Wood Management, Kurylenko’s next projects include vampire film Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters.
Smitrovich’s film credits include Independence Day, Air Force One, Thirteen Days and Ted. He is represented by The Kohner Agency and Frontline Management.
