Scarlett Johansson, who plays Black Widow in the tentpole, talked to THR about the demands of performing the fight stunts in the film. "I think just kind of going back day after day, knowing that you’re going to get the crap kicked out of you and you do it willingly is sort of a challenge in itself, a mental challenge," she told THR. "But also I have to say that every time you fail at a stunt, it hurts until you get it right."
Scarlett Johansson has signed up for a supporting role in Jon Favreau’s Chef, Aldamisa, which is repping the film as Cannes, announced Wednesday.
The film, written, directed and starring Favreau, will also star Robert Downey Jr., Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo and Bobby Cannavale.

“Scarlett is a tremendous talent and I’m honored to be collaborating with her again. I’m so fortunate to be working with such a fine ensemble,” said Favreau in a statement. Favreau directed Iron Man 2, which starred Johansson as Natasha Romanoff. Chef will also reunite Johansson and Favreau with Iron Man star Downey, who also starred in Avengers with Johansson.
The film, based on Favreau’s original idea, follows a man, Carl Casper (Favreau), who loses his chef job and cooks up a food truck business in hopes of reestablishing his artistic promise. At the same time, he tries to reconnect with his estranged family.

Johansson will play a woman named Molly, a restaurant manager and love interest of Favreau’s character.
Karen Gilchrist and Aldamisa Co-Chairman Sergei Bespalov are producing. Aldamisa is financing along with Kilburn Media and Mark Manuel. Production begins on July 8 in Los Angeles.
CAA packaged the deal and will handle U.S. distribution rights. Jere Hausfater and Philip Elway negotiated the deal on behalf of Aldamisa.
Johansson is repped by CAA and LBI Entertainment.
