The alliance between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark has been held together by a common goal in the past, but as the new trailer for Captain America: Civil War demonstrates, that doesn’t mean that it won’t fall apart when put under stress.
The trailer, released during CBS’ Super Bowl pre-game show on Sunday, asks Twitter fans to choose a side: #TeamCap or #TeamIronMan.
The latest glimpse at Marvel Studios’ first movie of the year (Doctor Strange, introducing Benedict Cumberbatch’s supernatural hero, is coming Nov. 6) offered a little more insight into what fuels the conflict between Chris Evans’ Captain America and Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, as well as the heroes who choose to get involved on both sides.

Additionally, Emily VanCamp’s Agent 13 — briefly seen in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier — gets into the midst of the action this time around as part of Cap’s team.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo from a script by their Winter Soldier screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War will be released May 6.
On Twitter, Marvel also started an emoji campaign, encouraging fans to choose a side in order to win a walk-on role in the upcoming Avengers film.
