Before Chris Evans returns to cinema screens as Marvel’s Sentinel of Liberty in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, perhaps it’s time to refresh your memory about the character’s first cinematic outing. What better way to do it than with an Honest Trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger?
Calling it “another movie that only exists to set up The Avengers,” the trailer sums up the message of The First Avenger — “it’s what on the inside that counts, except when it comes to fighting. Or being respected. Or getting laid” — as it introduces Steve Rogers, “a grown man’s head CGI’d onto a skinny boy’s body,” who goes on to become a hero with the power of ultimate Frisbee.
