NBA all-star Carmelo Anthony is further solidifying his Hollywood plans.
Anthony has launched production and content banner Creative 7 with a slate of projects set up with partners that include Plan B and producer Will Packer.
Creative 7, which the NBA superstar launched with Asani Swann, is described as a multi-platform content company that will develop and produce original content that spans scripted and non-scripted productions, including docs, television, feature film, animation, and podcasts.
With Will Packer of Will Packer Productions, Creative 7 will produce a narrative series about professional athletes that “have defined culture, but forever remain on the periphery of true power in the multibillion-dollar industries their talent built.”

Additionally, the company will partner with Get Out producers Shaun Redick and Yvette Yates Redick’s Impossible Dream Entertainment on a limited series based on th true story of Jersey 4, which follows the famous racial profiling case that came after four Black and Hispanic men were shot and wounded by state troopers in a 1998 traffic stop.
Creative 7’s slate also includes projects with Emmy-winner Jonathan Hock and his production house Hock Films, and a limited narrative series with the Oscar-winning plan Plan B Entertainment.
The above join a handful of already announced projects that will be produced under Creative 7, including “Blood Brothers”, a limited series about Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X, in partnership with A+E Studios.
“Asani and I founded Creative 7 because we both share a passion for creating original content that will give a voice to the silenced, advocate for the underserved, and celebrate the resilience of the human spirit. We are in a time of profound transformation so we believe it is more important than ever to spotlight the individuals and the stories that will uplift the world and inspire lasting change,” said Anthony.”
Adds Swann, “At the core, our goal is to amplify unheard voices and groundbreaking stories that push the envelope and will leave a profound impact. As a Black woman, I am proud to co-found a company like Creative 7 that celebrates diversity and inclusion and will strive to push representation in this industry forward.”
