Joseph Gordon-Levitt will receive CinemaCon’s Breakthrough Filmmaker of the Year Award for his feature debut Don Jon’s Addiction.
CinemaCon, the annual convention of theater owners, runs April 15-18 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
SUNDANCE REVIEW: ‘Don Jon’s Addiction’
“Having already been embraced by moviegoers and critics alike with his diverse list of acting credits, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is sure to establish himself as one of the most exciting new directors in movies today with the release of his directorial debut Don Jon’s Addiction,” CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser.

Don Jon’s Addiction made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Gordon-Levitt directed, wrote and stars in the film alongside Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore.
Gordon-Levitt most recently starred in Steven Spielberg’s critically acclaimed Lincoln and the sci-fi action-thriller Looper.
