Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will receive CinemaCon’s Comedy Filmmakers of the Year award at next month’s annual gathering of theater owners in Las Vegas. The convention runs March 24-27 at Caesars Palace.
The duo’s next producing effort, Neighbors, opens in theaters May 9. Rogen stars opposite Zac Efron and Rose Byrne in the Universal comedy, about a young couple suffering from arrested development who move in next door to a frat house after the birth of their baby.
Nick Stoller directed Neighbors, with Rogen and Goldberg producing alongside James Weaver.
Neighbors is followed by Rogen and Goldberg’s The Interview on Oct. 10. The film reunites Rogen and Goldberg with their This Is The End star James Franco.

Growing up together in Vancouver, Golberg and Rogen co-wrote their first screenplay, Superbad, when they were 15, followed by Pineapple Express.
In 2011, Rogen and Goldberg launched Point Grey Pictures (PGP) to produce edgy and smart comedy feature projects. The banner produced 50/50, as well as This Is The End, which marked their directorial debut, and Neighbors.
