Robert Pattinson is taking on the Wild West in The Hollywood Reporter‘s exclusive images of Damsel.
Directed by the Zellner Brothers (Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter), the movie stars Pattinson as Samuel Alabaster, an affluent pioneer who ventures across the American frontier to marry the love of his life, Penelope (Mia Wasikowska). He traverses the Wild West with a drunkard and a miniature horse named Butterscotch; however, their once-simple journey grows treacherous.
Directors David and Nathan Zellner also wrote, produced and appear in the humor-filled film, which is being described as “a loving reinvention of the Western genre.”
Damsel makes its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Playing in the Premieres section of the fest, it debuts Jan. 23 at the Eccles Theater. It is the Zellner brothers’ fourth film in a row to premiere at Sundance. See more of THR‘s exclusive images of Damsel below.
