Getty ImagesAt the 11th hour, Daniel Craig has dropped out of courtroom drama The Whole Truth, multiple sources confirm to THR.

The project, scheduled to be in production in Boston April 14, has been brought to halt as the producers, Atlas Entertainment and Likely Story, scramble to find a replacement. Sources say Craig exited the film on Sunday.
One insider said that the start date is being pushed three weeks to accommodate finding a new actor. The movie was in the midst of casting up and now certain actors who were in negotiations, such as Danny Huston, are finding themselves in limbo.
Renee Zellweger and Gabriel Basso were already signed on to co-star.
The plot of the courtroom drama is being kept under wraps, but Craig was to play a district attorney. Courtney Hunt (Frozen River) is set to direct the Nicholas Kazan-written script. Atlas Entertainment’s Richard Suckle is producing.
The high-profile independent project was announced during the Berlin Film Festival in February, where FilmNation shopped the film to foreign buyers. CAA is handling domestic rights.
The Boston Globe first reported the news of Craig’s departure.
