Even the characters from 1993 film Rookie of the Year are celebrating last night’s Cubs win.
Actor Daniel Stern, who directed the movie and also played goofy pitching coach, Phil Brickma, posted a video in character Wednesday night after the Chicago Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians to win the World Series for the first time since 1908.
This is not the first time Stern, best known for playing Marv in the Home Alone films, brought the character back for the Cubs postseason run, but the final video was perfect. In it, Brickma is so overcome with emotion, all he can do is weep.
Rookie of the Year, starring Thomas Ian Nicholas and Gary Busey, is a family comedy about a young boy who accidently injures his arm, which in turn allows him to throw a baseball with so much velocity, he is snatched up by the Cubs, his favorite team.
