Nailed it.
Danny Trejo on Thursday got in on the fun of everyone else celebrating Star Wars Day by posting his “lost” Star Wars audition tape.
The actor has played a badass in numerous films, including Heat, Con Air, Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn and Machete, among others, but it seems he was going for a softer role when he “auditioned” for A New Hope.
In the short clip, Trejo, wearing Princess Leia buns, delivers the classic line, “Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.”
Almost as soon as the line is out, Trejo cracks up laughing.
Trejo, who has more than 310,000 Twitter followers, is something of a social media Jedi himself, often posting fun fan-made memes and GIFs of some of his most classic roles.
