The gunslinger is ready to pursue the man in black in the first trailer for The Dark Tower.
Idris Elba stars as gunslinger Roland Deschain in the adaptation of Stephen King’s epic fantasy Western series of novels, with Matthew McConaughey playing the Man in Black Tom Taylor plays Jake, a young boy who lives in New York but dreams of Roland’s world.
In the books, Roland is something of a wandering knight, the last of his kind on a journey to save Mid-World.
The film from Columbia Pictures and MRC is directed by Nikolaj Arcel.
The Dark Tower is set for an Aug. 4 release date.
