Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn will come alive at Universal Studios.
The Halloween Horror Nights experience at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Resort Orlando will include a maze based on Rodriguez’s vampire TV series.

From Dusk Till Dawn follows bank robber brothers Seth and Richie Gecko as they fight an ancient vampire race and try to evade the law. It was first a 1996 film directed by Rodriguez and co-written by Quentin Tarantino, then was adapted to air this summer on Rodriguez’s new El Rey network.
The maze will take guests into the Twister, a sinister nightclub inhabited by serpent-like vampires called Culebras and their queen, the exotic dancer Santanico Pandemonium.
“Robert Rodriguez’s genius in pushing the boundaries of the horror genre is a perfect pairing for Halloween Horror Nights as we continue to intensify our event with the most credible horror voices within the entertainment industry,” Halloween Horror Nights executive producer John Murdy said in a statement. “This radical new maze will give fans of From Dusk Till Dawn an unprecedented opportunity to experience the show’s Mesoamerican mythology, and will come to life with the same attention to detail and production value that Robert’s work is known for.”
In addition to From Dusk Till Dawn, The Walking Dead will return with its third consecutive maze, which will be the largest in Halloween Horror Nights’ history. It will be based on the AMC zombie hit’s fourth season, with locations including the prison and the road to Terminus. This year’s other six mazes have not yet been revealed.

Halloween Horror Nights has run at Universal for more than 20 years, with “scare zones,” stage shows and other interactive events as well as mazes. Past years have featured mazes from franchises including Halloween, Friday the 13th, Saw and Insidious, as well as albums by Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath.
Halloween Horror Nights starts Sept. 19 and runs select nights until Nov. 1.
