Deadpool just couldn’t help himself.
The Merc with the Mouth appeared in a Deadpool 2 short that is playing ahead of Logan, and now that footage has made its way online. After all, he couldn’t just let Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine ride off into the sunset without a little goodbye.
Ryan Reynolds shared the clip, titled “No Good Deed,” on Twitter Saturday morning.
Once again, Deadpool 2 stars Reynolds as the X-Men antihero. The film is directed by John Wick filmmaker David Leitch and is written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the scribes behind the original film.
Writer-producer Rhett Reese has clarified that none of the footage in the clip will be featured in Deadpool 2, which is currently in casting mode.
There’s no release date set. But as the teaser promises: “Deadpool. Coming. Not Soon Enough.”
