Brianna Hildebrand, who is best known as the Deadpool franchise’s resident angsty teen, is in talks to join John Cena in the family comedy Playing With Fire.
The Paramount Players project follows wildfire fighters that spend Christmas weekend at the station taking care of three rambunctious kids they rescued. Hildebrand will be playing the eldest of the orphaned siblings, Brynn.
Andy Fickman will direct. Dan Ewen wrote the original spec with Matt Lieberman (The Christmas Chronicles, The Addams Family) handling the most recent rewrite. Todd Garner and Sean Robins will produce via Broken Road Productions. Matt Dines is overseeing for the studio.
Hildebrand broke out playing Negasonic Teenage Warhead in the Ryan Reynolds-fronted antihero Deadpool series. The actress was also recently seen in the slasher comedy Tragedy Girls and leads the upcoming Netflix YA series Trinkets.
Hildebrand is repped by ICM, 23 Management and Bloom Hergott.
